Position Overview The Director of Food Access Services provides strategic leadership for a portfolio of programs designed to ensure equitable and dignified access to nutritious food for diverse communities. This leader oversees program strategy, operations, partnerships, and evaluation while guiding a collaborative team dedicated to strengthening community impact. The role works cross‑functionally with organizational leadership, community partners, and stakeholders to advance innovative and sustainable food access solutions.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for food access programs, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and community needs.

Oversee program operations, performance metrics, and evaluation processes to drive continuous improvement and measurable impact.

Lead, mentor, and support a collaborative team including staff, volunteers, and interns while fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government partners, and funders to expand access to food resources.

Guide budgeting, resource planning, and grant compliance in collaboration with internal teams.

Represent the organization in community forums, partnerships, and regional initiatives related to food access and food systems.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience leading programs or initiatives related to food access, community services, or social impact.

Experience supervising, mentoring, or guiding teams while supporting collaboration and growth.

Strong strategic planning, program development, and project management abilities.

Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to work across diverse communities and partners.

Experience using data, evaluation, or reporting tools to inform decisions and demonstrate program outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits This position offers an annual salary range of

$90,000 to $100,000

along with a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
