Position Summary
The Director, Supply Chain Planning reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer

Role Summary The Director of Supply Chain Planning is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide strategy, design, and execution of inventory planning and replenishment across TriMark’s multi-region distribution network. This role ensures the right product is in the right place at the right time—balancing service levels, working capital efficiency, and network capacity. The Director will drive standardization of planning processes, optimize inventory deployment, and leverage ERP and planning tools to enable a more predictive, data-driven supply chain. This leader will play a critical role in aligning demand signals from Sales, supply inputs from Procurement, and operational constraints from Distribution to deliver improved fill rates, reduced excess/obsolete inventory, and enhanced network performance.
Core Responsibilities DRP Strategy & Network Alignment
Design and implement a scalable framework across all distribution centers and regions
Align inventory planning strategy with network design, transportation flows, and ERP capabilities
Establish inventory segmentation strategies (ABC, velocity, critical SKUs) to drive differentiated planning approaches
Partner with Supply Chain leadership to support network optimization initiatives and warehouse consolidations
Inventory Planning & Replenishment
Own enterprise inventory positioning, replenishment logic, and safety stock strategies
Drive improvements in key metrics: fill rate, inventory turns, backorders, and excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory
Develop and manage parameters including lead times, order cycles, and min/max levels
Ensure alignment between demand forecasts, purchasing plans, and distribution requirements
Systems, Data & ERP Integration
Lead DRP design and execution within ERP systems (JDE, Infor WMS, or future-state platforms)
Partner with IT and ERP teams to enhance planning tools, reporting, and automation capabilities
Establish data governance standards to ensure accuracy of item master, lead times, and planning inputs
Leverage analytics and reporting to enable proactive decision-making and exception management
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Procurement to align supplier lead times, MOQs, and inbound flow strategies
Work closely with Sales to incorporate demand signals, promotions, and large project impacts
Collaborate with Warehouse Operations to ensure planning aligns with capacity, labor, and throughput constraints
Serve as a key interface between Finance and Operations to balance service levels with working capital targets
Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement
Establish standardized DRP processes, cadences, and governance across all regions
Implement KPIs, dashboards, and routines (weekly/monthly) to monitor performance and drive accountabilityLead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in planning, ordering, and inventory deployment
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Build and lead a high-performing DRP and inventory planning team
Develop organizational capability in demand and supply planning disciplines
Provide coaching, training, and career development for planning talent across the network
Act as a change leader in driving adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
10+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or distribution planning roles
Proven experience leading DRP or multi-echelon inventory planning in a complex distribution network
Strong experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and WMS platforms
Deep understanding of inventory optimization, replenishment models, and supply chain analytics
Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth, transformation-driven environments preferred
Leadership Profile
Highly analytical with strong business and financial acumen
Systems thinker—able to connect demand, supply, and network dynamics
Operates with urgency and accountability in a fast-paced environment
Strong cross-functional influencer with the ability to align Sales, Operations, and Finance
Change agent comfortable building structure in evolving environments
Compensation & Benefits The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered a general guideline. Pay will reflect the candidate’s unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, market data alignment, applicable bargaining agreements or other local, state and federal law. In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match). Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
