Sterling Organization is seeking an Analyst, Asset Management to support the ownership and performance optimization of a nationwide retail real estate portfolio. This role partners closely with Asset Management leadership and cross-functional teams (fund management and analytics, property operations, accounting, financing, leasing, and development) to execute business plans, improve reporting and insight generation, and drive value-enhancing initiatives across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
Assist the COO and asset management team of a nationwide retail real estate portfolio, providing strategic oversight on business plan execution, financial performance, and operational efficiency initiatives to maximize value
Draft and refine critical sections of quarterly and annual investor reporting, delivering accurate, insightful analyses that influence decision-making at the highest level
Design and maintain robust internal reporting processes, establish clear performance metrics, and leverage analytics to guide strategic decisions across the organization
Serve a leadership role in developing and executing ancillary income opportunities, identifying creative ways to enhance portfolio profitability
Execute ad-hoc analyses and special projects that address emerging opportunities and challenges, contributing to the firm’s growth and competitive edge
Leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude Enterprise) to accelerate data analysis, automate recurring reporting workflows, and improve clarity and consistency in communications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic achievement and demonstrated interest in commercial real estate.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build financial models, analyze large datasets, and create dynamic reporting tools.
Strong business writing and communication skills; able to produce clear, concise, and persuasive reporting and presentation materials.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using AI productivity tools in an enterprise setting (e.g., Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude Enterprise) to draft, summarize, and refine analyses and business writing while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity
Prefer prior experience in public accounting (audit/tax), management consulting, and/or asset management with exposure to financial statement analysis, operational improvement, and client-facing deliverables
