Role Status Exempt. Ideal start timeline: May 2026.

Compensation Target hiring range: $155,000‑185,000 plus participation in Annual Bonus Program with eligibility for $12,000 bonus. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Working Location Strong preference for candidates who can work on‑site in Boulder, CO at least 1–2 days per week. Fully remote candidates will be considered; remote employees must have a reliable, high‑speed internet connection.

Mission & Overview We are looking for a

Senior Director of People

to oversee the operational arm of our People & Culture function. This leader balances technical HR program management with business partnering, supporting a scalable, award‑winning culture.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure optimal usage of HR tools and systems, including vendor selection, management, contract negotiation, and SLA enforcement.

Manage and oversee our benefits program, including open enrollment, vendor relationships, and ongoing administration.

Develop a high‑performing People Operations function, setting priorities, delegating, and driving execution.

Own and lead people programs across performance, compensation, benefits, payroll, and compliance, aligning with strategy.

Support M&A activities through HR due diligence, integration planning, and post‑acquisition alignment.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Partner with Finance on payroll, audits, and reporting.

Own and resolve complex, high‑risk employee relations matters.

Act as a trusted partner to department leaders, providing strategic HR guidance.

Qualifications

Progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing direct reports.

Technical HR expertise: onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, leave management, and compliance.

Ability to build and scale HR programs in a high‑growth environment, including M&A‑driven growth.

Approachable, kind, but firm leadership style—comfortable with difficult conversations and holding people and vendors accountable.

Trust when things get complicated; comfortable digging into benefits details or coaching leaders.

Proven track record in employee relations and conflict resolution.

Effective communication and collaboration skills in a hybrid setting.
