Account Manager East Coast - Spirits Location: American Canyon, CA; Saint Cesaire, Canada. Remote work possible. Job type: Permanent, Full‑time. Contract: Permanent. Job Purpose Amcor Wine & Spirits supplies closures for the Wine and Spirits segments (screw caps and capsules). The division serves North American customers predominantly from its St Cesaire Plant in Canada and its finishing, trading and service operations at American Canyon, California. Those plants are supported and connected with other Amcon capsule plants in France and Chile to serve products not manufactured in North America. Amcor is the market leader in North America with significant sales growth over the past years and strong recognized brands like Stelvin. It provides strong technical support with its Field Technical Service teams. The Account Manager is responsible for the development and management of assigned spirits and wine accounts. The incumbent will provide strategic and tactical sales direction, defend and retain existing business, develop new opportunities within and beyond the existing portfolio, and improve profitability. The role focuses on growth and retention of assigned accounts through share of wallet and executing a long‑term strategy. Job Dimension & Scope Number & type of accounts: Mix of local, core and business development. Internal stakeholder level involvement: Medium and strategic. Budget responsibility: USD 5‑20 million. Geographic spread: Mainly East Coast USA or Canada. Principal Accountabilities Managing accounts to maximize revenues and profitability; monitor and report on critical KPIs. Identify a comprehensive understanding of customer needs (both long‑term and short‑term), differentiate Amcor’s products and services, and drive aligned opportunities. Maintain and build strong relationships with key decision makers of assigned accounts; map key influencers beyond purchasing. Keep business plans and customer strategies up‑to‑date using Amcor tools. Align cross‑functionally with customers on sustainability and innovation paths. Lead key business negotiations, supporting Amcor’s interests and influencing decisions. Manage local sales resources to implement account strategy and deliver expected growth. Monitor business performance against volume and margin targets and coordinate corrective actions. Coordinate sales and marketing programs to achieve target commitments. Collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing and Operations to implement account strategies. Collaborate closely with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure demand accuracy. Promote active use of Salesforce.com, PMDB, ANPos and other Value Plus aspects. Qualifications & Requirements Formal Qualifications and Experience University degree, or equivalent, with strong sales talent and drive to sell. Minimum of 5 years experience in a large‑scale B2B environment. Relevant industry experience in technical, sales and general management. Proven track record of successful sales growth and profitability. Excellent project and process management skills. Excellent communication skills in English. Specific Skills and Abilities Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans. Strong customer and result orientation. Strong negotiation, decision‑making skills and ability to get things done. Strong ability to perform business analysis (pricing, margin management, KPI) using tools such as Excel and Salesforce. Ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders; good understanding of matrix organization. Adapts quickly across complex structures and matrix environments.
