This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment where experienced professionals can manage and coordinate ocean import shipments efficiently. Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation and processing of ocean import shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with carriers, overseas agents, customs brokers, and clients to facilitate smooth cargo movement. Prepare and review all necessary documentation including Bills of Lading, customs entries, and clearance paperwork. Ensure compliance with all U.S. Customs regulations and pertinent import laws and standards. Communicate effectively with clients regarding shipment status, delivery timelines, duties, taxes, and regulatory requirements such as FDA codes and HTS classifications. Maintain accurate records in CargoWise and other company systems. Assist in resolving issues related to shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, or customs complications.
