Incumbent serves as the senior real property specialist performing in accordance with appropriate regulatory guidance. Conduct special studies involving research of historic and public records of the county court house, special act, congressional acts and records, laws, compendium of laws, etc. Responsible for maintaining accounting for real property assets and ensuring assets are properly accounted for in Recruiting Facilities Management Information System (RFMIS). Review all in-grant and out-grant real estate documents to ensure properly updated automated and/or acreage, rent paid, rent received, term of use, etc. Provide reports detailing all land, buildings, structures and linear structures as necessary in a real property general ledger that is maintained by the Resource Management Office (RM) in the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS). Assist in the resolution of encroachments to installation controlled real property. Provide real property accountability and real estate support to designated geographical areas. Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Utilizing a real property database to input and update real property inventory records; AND 2) Reviewing real property documents for accuracy of information like category codes and units of measure; AND 3) Assisting in physical inventories of real property by gathering data on assets and/or creating or updating corresponding records in an accountability system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
