Title: Director of Design- Children's knitwear Location: New York, NY Salary- $170,000+ Overview Our client, a rapidly growing children's knitwear and activewear brand is currently looking for a Design Director to join the team and oversee all facets of the design process while managing the team. Responsibilities: Lead the full design process ensuring quality and fit are meeting the retailers requirements Shape seasonal design strategies and identify emerging trends Conduct research, identifying trends, maintaining brand strategy, and executing the design process and merchandising objectives. Communicate with the sales team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and approval of designs. Mentor and guide the design team, fostering a creative and collaborative environment with product development, and technical design teams. Offer support while reviewing and approve samples, fabrics, and color standards. Additionally knowledge of activewear/knitwear fabrics is required. Skills Bachelor's degree in fashion design, Proficient in Photoshop, and Illustrator
