Compensation: $80000 - $90000 / annually The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for providing broad HR support with a primary focus on employee relations. This role leads investigations, ensures thorough documentation, identifies outcome solutions, and serves as a trusted advisor to department leaders across the organization. A successful Employee Relations Specialist will approach every conversation and investigation from a people-first stance. They will build policy and programs with "heart" at the center. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will: Serve as the ER point of contact for employees and department leaders, providing guidance on employee relations matters as they arise Lead the ER intake and investigative process, ensuring thorough, accurate documentation at every stage Partner with department leaders to develop solutions that support the business and its core principles Create and implement a formal employee relations investigation process and support the buildout of supporting structure and software Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees and managers as needed Identify training and skill gaps among department leaders and HR team members and support development initiatives Report observations to the HR Director and talent acquisition teams regarding employee relations trends Assist in developing and editing HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook as needed Support the Director of HR and VP of HR with special projects and assignments as directed As an Employee Relations Specialist, you have: 5+ years of experience in Human Resources addressing Employee Relations A working knowledge of HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, employee engagement, and training Familiarity with basic employment law, including FLSA and applicable federal and state regulations (preferred) A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential, or the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire Preferred: Prior experience building or formalizing an employee relations investigation process Background supporting HR Directors or VP-level leadership on strategic initiatives A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline Work Details Work Location: This position is on-site in Cleveland, OH (44143).
