Commercial Lines Account Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-driven Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing commercial insurance accounts, ensuring the seamless delivery of client services, and helping drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams. Your role will involve managing policy administration, renewals, claims, and providing proactive solutions to meet clients' evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial insurance clients.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

Understand client needs and provide recommendations for appropriate coverage options.

Respond to client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Address any questions or concerns regarding claims, coverage, or billing.

Provide educational resources to clients regarding insurance products and risk management.

Policy Management:

Oversee the preparation, placement, and renewal of commercial insurance policies.

Review and process policy endorsements, cancellations, and renewals.

Ensure timely and accurate documentation and communication regarding policy changes.

Maintain accurate and organized records of all client interactions, policies, and communications.

Prepare and submit renewal proposals, presentations, and reports to clients.

Track and ensure timely follow-up on policy renewals, audits, and premium payments.

Collaboration with Underwriters and Carriers:

Work closely with insurance carriers and underwriters to secure quotes, bind coverage, and negotiate terms.

Maintain knowledge of industry trends, new products, and coverage options to offer the best solutions to clients.

Claims Management:

Assist clients in reporting and managing claims, ensuring that claims are processed efficiently.

Act as a liaison between clients and the claims department to facilitate the resolution of claims.

Qualifications:

Experience:

2+ years of experience in commercial insurance

Strong knowledge of quoting, renewal processes, accord completion, surplus renewals

Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk management practices.

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency with insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Licenses/Certifications:

Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

CPCU, CIC, or other industry certifications a plus.
