Responsibilities

Administration of authorized retirement plans at the University, including employee enrollments, changes and terminations of approved products.

Administration of the Florida Retirement System Pension and Investment Plans, the FICA Alternative Program, the Optional Retirement Program and tax‑sheltered annuities. This includes enrollments, terminations, counseling, payroll queries, employee/vendor inquiries and providing assistance to the Insurance team as needed. Special emphasis on the 401(a) FICA Alternative Program.

Coordinate and analyze queries, reports and files in preparation for each pay cycle; assist with coordination of leave payouts with the appropriate HR teams.

Work with employees that are retiring to guide them on how to continue their benefits, such as retiree insurance; also work with families of deceased employees, including final pay and continuing benefits.

Perform related duties as required, such as assisting with the Benefits and Wellness Fair, Retirement Planning Seminar, New Faculty Orientation, the HR‑Retirement Inbox, and maintaining compliance with F.S. 119 as required by the FRS.

Provide assistance to the Insurance team as coverage and situation require.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in human resources or a related field or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of the same experience. Post high‑school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.

Anticipated Salary Range Starting salary in the mid $45,000s, commensurate with experience.
