Position Overview
Boeing Global Services (BGS) invites a Senior F‑22 Pilot Training consultant to contribute to the development and enhancement of the F‑22 Pilot Training Simulator. The role involves collaborating with software engineers and test teams to validate and improve simulator systems, shaping training programs that impact national defense readiness.
Position Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in F‑22 aircraft general systems, avionics systems, and weapons systems
SME in F‑22 trainer operation
SME in F‑22 Modernization; requires travel to modernization meetings
Knowledgeable in F‑22 JMPS mission planning programming
Knowledgeable of F‑22 training requirements/syllabus
Respond to user write‑ups or questions regarding simulator behaviors
Determine if flagged simulator behaviors are due to hardware, software, JMPS MDL, or operator error
Explain or demonstrate specific trainer functionalities to simulation instructors, as required
Support Boeing CLS simulator technicians when maintenance requires pilot verification
Submit Training System Change Requests to Boeing engineers for user‑desired software fixes and enhancements
Explain faulty simulation behaviors to Boeing engineers, as required
Install and test monthly engineering builds, providing feedback to Boeing engineers
Provide Boeing with Tyndall feedback and case‑by‑case priorities for software changes in the upcoming release
Answer questions and demonstrate fixes/enhancements to F‑22 Academic Sim Building (ASB) personnel
Coordinate with Tyndall ASB scheduling for OST and UAT test events
Maintain appropriate security clearances as required by Boeing and the USAF
Adhere to site security and access control procedures in accordance with Boeing and customer requirements
Ensure proper handling and sanitization of classified media and training materials in compliance with Boeing and customer security protocols
Implement and support Boeing initiatives, programs, and policies to maintain training excellence and compliance
Collaborate closely with Boeing training teams and customer representatives at dedicated training sites to meet training objectives
Maintain flexibility to perform additional duties and related responsibilities as assigned to support Boeing’s training mission
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of 4th and/or 5th generation Fighter Pilot/WSO experience
Demonstrated expertise in pilot training, tactics development, and evaluation of training effectiveness
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across multiple functional areas and diverse personnel, specifically simulator instructor pilots and software engineers
Domestic travel up to 10%–20% of the time (based on contractual requirements)
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of F‑22 pilot training experience
2+ years of F‑22 Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) experience
An engineering degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience combined with specialized training and professional experience aligned with software development
Security Clearance This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship. (An active clearance in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Pay & Benefits
Summary pay range: $139,400 – $188,600
