
Golf Professional

General Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Golf, the Golf Professional is responsible for all golf activities as assigned and directed by the Club's management. The role focuses on achieving personal revenue goals each month while delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality to members and guests.
Responsibilities
Promote and teach golf clinics, private lessons, and adult/junior/senior programs as directed.
Organize and maintain daily teaching schedule, including private and group lessons.
Provide new‑member golf orientations and evaluations, introducing the facility and programming.
Encourage members to participate in club golf events.
Attend golf department staff meetings, general staff meetings, and associate orientations as directed by club management.
Be available for posted clinics or other job functions throughout the club in emergency situations.
Represent the club professionally through image, dress, communication, and prompt follow‑through and response.
Maintain accurate, current records on all client exercise programs and progress; track sessions and fee payments.
Enforce all golf department and club policies; maintain cleanliness and safety of golf areas.
Record each day worked, actual hours worked, and client sessions in the appropriate tracking system.
Assist with special club projects, events, and promotions.
Show flexibility in work schedule; job may require day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Current Golf Professional certification.
Minimum two (2) years of professional golf experience, including college or elite competition exposure.
Current CPR/AED certification.
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles for services; ability to promote and sell golf services.
Strong problem anticipation and deductive reasoning skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and related tracking/reporting software.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; detail oriented and well organized.
Reliable punctuality; ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions; adaptability to frequent changes in environment.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Work frequently involves outdoor activities in varying weather conditions, including hot climates. The position requires regular use of hands and arms, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and balancing. Good hearing and vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth, and focus) are required. The role may involve interacting with clients via in‑person, phone, and email communication.

Compensation & Benefits Estimated base pay range: $18.45 – $75.00 per hour.
Other compensation and benefits include: Club membership, competitive compensation, discounts on club services and amenities, continuing education, community involvement, paid time off, and health insurance. Benefits are offered to full‑time associates; full‑time status begins at 25 average weekly hours.
