
Business Account Manager

Overview
Business Account Manager – manage an existing customer base, grow that base, and acquire new business accounts within a defined market/territory.
Location:
Whitestown, IN or Tipton, IN office, five days per week, with a prospecting territory of surrounding areas.
Compensation:
Base salary plus uncapped monthly commission. Account Managers are targeted to earn $69,930+ per year (Base + Commission).

Responsibilities
Manage existing accounts, regularly contacting customers via phone and in person to negotiate sales and achieve revenue growth goals.
Retain customers and reduce churn through moves, adds, and changes (MACD).
Provide education on industry, technology, and TDS products and services.
Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through cold calling, networking, and referrals; obtain appointments and close sales.
Create proposals, write and submit accurate orders, and manage MACD orders for the existing base.
Develop tactical sales plans for prospecting, growth, and retention to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Maintain accurate and timely activity tracking, customer status, and forecasts using the CRM system.
Report activity and monitor progress weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Attend industry meetings and local events to enhance visibility, identify business opportunities, and develop contacts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of customer service experience.
2+ years of inside or outside sales experience.
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Other Qualifications
Experience in successful prospecting and generating leads through cold calling.
Access to cell phone.
Previous telecommunications experience.
Proven “can‑do” attitude and strong work ethic.
Goal‑setting and achievement record.
Excellent organization, time‑management, and attention to detail.
Customer‑service orientation and genuine interest in helping others.
Comprehensive product and application knowledge for high‑volume problem resolution.
