Job Summary As a

Business Account Manager , you will manage an existing customer base, grow that base, and acquire new business accounts within a defined market/territory. The position reports out of our Whitestown, IN or Tipton, IN office, five days per week, with a prospecting territory covering surrounding areas.

*Targeted to earn $69,930+ per year (Base + Commission)*

Existing customer activity includes overall care, growth, and retention of a commercial customer base or book of business ("BOB") with an emphasis on increasing revenues, product penetration, and overall profitability. You will manage MACD (moves, adds, changes, deletions) to existing accounts, renew contracts, respond to RFPs, and proactively foster loyalty. New account acquisition focuses on B2B prospecting, uncovering needs, understanding key business drivers, and delivering compelling TDS solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage existing account base by regularly contacting accounts (phone and in person), acting as a resource for sales negotiations, and meeting or exceeding sales and revenue growth goals. Manage moves, adds, and changes to ensure retention and reduce churn. Provide education on industry, technology, and TDS products.

Focus on market‑share growth by prospecting and selling new businesses. Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through calls, in‑person visits, networking, and referrals. Build solutions, propose, and close sales to meet or exceed goals.

Create proposals, write, and submit accurate and timely new orders following the established sales process. Manage and submit MACD orders for existing customers.

Develop and execute a tactical sales plan for prospecting, customer growth, and retention to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. Maintain accurate and timely activity tracking using the CRM. Report progress weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Attend industry and trade group meetings and local events to increase corporate visibility, identify business opportunities, and develop contacts. Maintain relations with contacts and lead sources, including after‑hours events.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of customer service experience.

2+ years of inside or outside sales experience.

Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

Other Qualifications

Experience in prospecting and generating leads through cold calling.

Access to a cell phone.

Previous telecommunications experience.
