Work directly with decision makers, eliminating many hassles of selling to large corporations.

Metrics

Quota‑carrying role. Quarterly quota based on the number of principal agents successfully recruited to Compass. Deal size ranges from $200k to $3M+, with an average time to close of about 30 days.

Quota can be met by bringing on individual agents or large agent teams. Quota is based on the prior 12‑month performance of the agent or team; it is not contingent upon future production once at Compass.

Tasked with helping agents understand why their business and clients benefit from moving to Compass.

Nuances

This is a more humanized sale than typical sales processes, dealing directly with decision makers; agents are effectively the CEOs of their own businesses, requiring high empathy, listening, agility, and focus.

Working with long‑time agents (15+ years) demands patience, listening, agility, and a relentless focus to close the deal.

Role demands high IQ and EQ, with a team background in investment banking, management consulting, law, and enterprise sales.

SGMs generate, conservatively, 15x more revenue per head than top tech firms.
