Lead Superintendent
to oversee large-scale commercial interior, renovation, and fit-out projects.
This role is perfect for a seasoned construction professional with a track record of managing complex projects, leading field teams, and upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Key Responsibilities
Direct all on-site operations for commercial interiors, renovation, and fit-out projects.
Manage site safety, construction activities, quality control, logistics, housekeeping, and daily reporting.
Mentor and guide Assistant Superintendents and other field staff.
Develop, maintain, and oversee detailed project schedules, including two-week look-ahead plans.
Coordinate subcontractors to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards are met.
Ensure all work aligns with design documents, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
Work closely with Project Management to maintain accurate schedules and proactively manage project risks.
Lead weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams.
Oversee the RFI process, including tracking, resolution, and closeout.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, especially in occupied or sensitive environments.
Supervise punch list completion and support project closeout and warranty processes.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with extensive Superintendent experience on large-scale interior and fit-out projects.
Proven ability to deliver complex projects in fast-paced or occupied environments.
Experience managing multiple workstreams and fast-track schedules.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial construction drawings and specifications.
Comprehensive knowledge of NYC DOB codes, safety regulations, and OSHA compliance.
OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification (minimum).
4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certification preferred.
Experience with MEP and base build work is a plus.
High-rise or structural system experience is advantageous.
