As The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent For Gozzer Ranch You Will Be Part Of Creating The Gozzer Ranch Experience. Work intentionally to include all co-workers to include peers; support Club wide services and events when possible; create good working relationships with ALL Gozzer Employees; maintain a courteous attitude toward ALL Gozzer Employees. Directly oversee employee performance by leading employees to being the best they can be; conduct team meetings to discuss daily / weekly / monthly tasks and events; prepare and communicate employee schedules to provide adequate coverage for all operational areas under your leadership; ensure schedules are sent out timely so employees have time to prepare for their work schedule while also having the ability to plan and organize personal life needs; develop and inspire a sense of urgency and motivated attitude amongst your team; coach in a manner that brings the best out of people daily; provide equal and fair opportunities for all employees; clearly communicate property information to all employees; provide recognition on a regular basis to support employee retention; find solutions to any problems that arise concerning services; view one leadership video each month. Assist in planning and supervising the maintenance of greens, tees and fairways; schedule work and supervise the employees and the use of equipment; instruct equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment; supervise pesticide applications and/or operate and calibrate pesticide application equipment; supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of pumps, and the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems; assist in personnel management and evaluation, employee safety, personnel discipline and may also modify the daily work schedule on professional interpretation; assist team in creating innovative ideas to enhance member and guest event experiences; be organized and detail oriented, using checklists or other systems to ensure no task is left undone; prepare for the unexpected and remain focused on the result; assist all teams with upholding Club service standards. Ensure that each member and member guest receive outstanding service in a friendly environment; greet and acknowledge every member and member guest promptly and professionally; maintain outstanding service standards and product knowledge; communicate with membership to create an honest relationship where their service needs, food and beverage selections, and other dining-related services are known to you and your team; exceed member and member guest expectations; create 100% guest satisfaction by providing our Gozzer brand behavior and genuine hospitality; give personal attention and take personal responsibility for member and guest experience; promote services and activities provided to Gozzer Ranch members; understand member and member guest needs and provide personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities; contribute to creating a service vibe with the team through service-minded experiences. Work with Human Resources and the Golf Course Maintenance team to organize and create a recruitment plan that accurately identifies needs; participate in activities to increase overall applicants to Gozzer Ranch; attend college career days, local job fairs and keep an online presence for posting all needed openings; be creative and innovative on ways to recruit and retain staff. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course tees, fairways, greens; the seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf; the planting, cultivating, pruning and caring for plants, shrubs and trees; the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers and soil conditioners; herbicides and pest control methods and materials; drainage control methods; and irrigation system, including wells, pumps and automatic controls Ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work to achieve the efficient utilization of workers and equipment; to prepare clear and concise reports; and to maintain effective employee and public relations Possession of a valid driver’s license May require current state certification or licensing as a pesticide applicator Comply with Idaho State Health and Wellness regulations Possess good computer knowledge Ability to work effectively with all personality types Ability to understand and carry-out verbal and written instructions independently Ability to perform mathematical calculations correctly Ability to work weekends, holidays, morning, and nights Ability to work in all weather conditions and temperatures to include inside and outside areas Ability to perform light physical tasks, exerting up to 25 lbs. of force on a frequent basis and up to 75 lbs. on an occasional basis independently or with help Ability to perform such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, walking, sitting, and carrying.
