Job Title: Equipment & Tool Designer (Asset Design), Mid-Level

Position Responsibilities

Investigate and develop complex equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements. Participate in design reviews, collect design requirements, create and revise drawings and models, and research the application of robotics, automation and new technology to support the build plan.

Create off-load packages, specifications, purchase requests and usage instructions for equipment and tooling.

Check designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.

Develop and document equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and user training.

Provide technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies by investigating problems and analyzing data to identify solutions.

Maintain hardware and software configuration and assess and make recommendations for disposition of equipment and tooling.

Basic Qualifications

3 to 7 years of tool shop or tool fabrication experience.

3 to 5 years of CAD/CAM experience using SolidWorks, Inventor, Siemens NX, or CATIA.

Fluent in all Microsoft Office applications.

Typical Education / Experience (Level 3)

Mid‑Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate) and typically 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay & Benefits Compensation: $68,850 – $93,150 (Level 3)
