Responsibilities
Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance.
Executes recreation events, programs and services to meet the recreational needs of a diverse patronage, including a variety of multi-disciplinary events such as social activities, tournaments and other major programs.
Recommends items of supplies, materials, prizes, decorations, refreshments, and equipment needed for program functions.
Assists with training new personnel.
Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed.
Conditions of Employment
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
Work schedule will be irregular, and the incumbent will be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or unique events.
Qualifications Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
Knowledge of a wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of military units, and installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate military staff in carrying out their responsibilities.
A basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding of supplies and equipment.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English).
Work experience or education directly relating to the duties to be performed.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Night differential and Sunday Premium Pay have NOT been authorized by the Garrison Commander for Non-Bargaining NF positions and will not be paid to any Non-Bargaining NF employees.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.
