Supervisory Community Recreation Coordinator NF-04.

Responsibilities

Serve as Director of the Recreation Branch; develop, maintain, plan, and administer recreation programs, activities, and facilities; act as project manager for special one‑time assignments as directed.

Manage and develop plans for Recreational Programs (Sports, Auto Crafts, BOSS, Soldier Center) in accordance with Community Recreation Division policies and objectives.

Plan and coordinate the details of activities, special events, and joint community undertakings such as hosting athletic events, sports tournaments, open houses, grand openings, soldier appreciation day, and summer task force troop support.

Prepare and oversee budgets for equipment, supplies, and services; develop administrative safeguards to protect funds, equipment, and property; account for all funds involved in recreational programs; develop annual budget requirements.

Perform the full range of supervisory duties and apply EEO principles to all aspects of personnel management; establish performance standards and evaluate the performance of subordinates.

Provide guidance and leadership to all recreation branch staff; perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Directly related progressive work experience directing one or more recreation programs, with knowledge of recreation goals, principles, methods, and techniques, and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. Experience must have been equivalent to the next lower pay level.

Requirements

A one‑year probationary period may be required.

Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre‑employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.

Submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278‑e) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry and annually thereafter.

Education This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
