Overview
The Waldinger Corporation is seeking a detail‑oriented and innovative
Technical Proposal Manager
to join our Marketing & Communications team in Des Moines. This role is essential for driving our business growth by collaborating with sales, technical experts, and leadership to craft clear, persuasive proposals that effectively communicate complex technical information.
Responsibilities
Lead Proposal Development: Own the entire lifecycle of RFP responses, from strategy to submission, ensuring alignment with client requirements, sales goals, and Waldinger’s branding standards.
Build a Comprehensive Content Library: Create and maintain reusable templates, team biographies, project case studies, and other proposal components to streamline response production.
Translate Technical Concepts: Work closely with subject matter experts to distill complex information into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with clients.
Drive Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business development, technical teams, and marketing, ensuring alignment among stakeholders and adherence to timelines.
Enhance Documentation Processes: Continuously improve documentation practices, tools, and workflows to elevate quality and efficiency across the team.
Manage Content and Assets: Oversee the document control system, coordinate project and personnel photography, and collaborate with the Corporate Communications team on asset management.
Qualifications
Experience: 5–7 years of proposal writing experience, preferably in a B2B or technical environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Technical Writing, English, Business, or a related field.
Skills: Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a keen eye for design and layout. Strong project‑management skills to keep initiatives moving smoothly.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
