Title Ambassador

FLSA Status Non-Exempt – Part-Time

Reports to Amenity Experience Manager

Location Eastmark – Mesa, AZ

Summary The Eastmark Ambassador will actively support Eastmark’s community values, vision, and philosophies, while demonstrating a style of support and organization that allows residents’ needs to be met with a high level of satisfaction. The candidate will provide a warm and professional approach while utilizing their experience, skills, and exceptional communication.

Scope

Ability to work a flexible, evening/weekend, short-term schedule on a strict as-needed basis.

While on duty, serve as a first responder and gatekeeper for The ‘Mark™ and Eastmark Community Life team, answering questions, providing assistance, and responding to needs quickly and accurately.

Promote and inform residents of current and upcoming clubs, classes, programs, events, and volunteer opportunities; assist with registration as appropriate.

Handle customer service needs with a friendly and caring yet assertive demeanor, following Eastmark Assembly, Eastmark Residential Association, and facility guidelines.

Comfortably approach residents who may not be following policies and handle escalated situations.

Showcase The ‘Mark™ amenities and programs to visitors through tours and collateral; assist Community Representatives during peak visitor traffic.

Monitor The ‘Mark™ interior and exterior spaces, including facility grounds, pool, and adjacent areas, regularly throughout the day with a specific focus on the pool during high-traffic season.

Assist with events, programs, and activities as requested.

Assist with administrative functions, including updating community event calendars, hard copy materials, displays, data entry, database systems, inventory and ordering, and printing reports.

Assist residents with check-out/check-in of recreation equipment and ensure that all resources are in good repair; report disrepair to the appropriate manager for action.

Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals and groups renting or otherwise utilizing The ‘Mark™ for specific functions; explain rules, provide information, review rental checklist with the responsible resident, ensure the area is properly set for the event, assist with set-up as necessary, and inspect the area after the event to ensure renter compliance with policy.

Ensure that all residents and guests are adhering to the established Eastmark Resident Access Card Agreement. Monitor residents and guests of The ‘Mark™ pool and Bus Stop as necessary; check Access Card and match with photo identification to verify access rights. Resolve infractions respectfully and with high courtesy.

Collect items left by residents; store lost items in the lost and found; retrieve and return to owner as necessary.

Perform light clean-up of The ‘Mark™ (interior and exterior). Tidy and reset patio, pool deck, and Bus Stop furniture as needed throughout the day to maintain a clean and neat appearance; wipe down tables and chairs as necessary.

Visually inspect the pool to ensure proper clarity and cleanliness; notify Landscape and Facilities Superintendent of any items that require immediate attention.

Submit work orders and follow up as necessary.

Must maintain CPR and AED certifications.

Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds, stay on feet for long periods of time, and be physically able to complete the duties.

NOTE This is NOT a Lifeguard Service. None of the duties described herein shall be construed as those performed by a Lifeguard.

Education or experience in customer service, recreation programming, recreation facilities oversight, or similar background.

Knowledge | Experience

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Experience in customer service, hospitality, sales, or similar discipline.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with database management tools.

Knowledge of residential real estate and/or home building is desirable, but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ambassadors should expect to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Some work performed by Ambassadors will be outdoors and may require being in all types of weather.

Ambassadors must be comfortable being on feet for long periods of time and able to lift at least 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
