Wireline Tractor Field Specialist (Altus Intervention)

Responsibilities
Demonstrate advanced competency in electronics with the ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues on all Baker (Altus) tractor and mechanical tools.
Operate, maintain, and optimize rotation and mechanical equipment to ensure efficient and safe service delivery.
Execute all field operations in strict accordance with Baker Procedures, industry standards, and client expectations.
Prepare, verify, and control all equipment required for tractor operations, ensuring readiness and compliance with operational checklists.
Lead the completion of the final Baker (Altus) job package/Job Planner, including reporting, documentation, and quality verification.
Operational Planning & Coordination
Coordinate Baker Hughes (Altus) activities at the district level in collaboration with the Operations and Sales team.
Collect and validate all customer-provided information necessary for job preparation and execution.
Complete job documentation and ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standard.
Leadership, Training & Personnel Development
Provide mentorship, training, and hands-on guidance for developing other Field Specialists and junior personnel.
Offer recommendations to the Operations Manager regarding performance evaluations, hiring decisions, or promotions.
Participate in company-directed professional development, technical courses, and project work to advance personal and organizational capability.
HSE, Quality & Compliance
Uphold Baker Hughes' commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) excellence across all operations and maintain compliance with internal standards and regulatory guidelines.
Immediately report non-conformities, equipment issues, and undesired incidents to the Operations Manager.
Ensure tools, vehicles, and equipment are cleaned, maintained, and presented to professional standards.
Onshore Support
Contribute to onshore activities including equipment upgrades, maintenance programs, and quality control initiatives.
Participate in technical/safety meetings, project reviews, and planning sessions to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
Engineering degree / Technical Diploma.
3+ years of directly related wireline tractor and/or mechanical intervention experience (preferred).
Valid CDL Class A Driver's License with a clean driving record; towing trailer experience highly preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel and work in other districts across the U.S. as needed.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, internal reporting tools).
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high organizational standards.
Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and ability to lead by example; demonstrated accountability and ownership of work quality.
Work Environment & Schedule
Flexible working patterns: 15 days on, 6 days off – 12 hours per day.
