This position oversees day‑to‑day healthcare operations of the community support services and directly supervises care delivery. Responsibilities include assessing health, functional, and psycho‑social status of residents; initiating individualized service plans; proactively managing care; and evaluating effectiveness to maximize residents’ opportunity to remain in an assisted living environment. Manage staffing needs of the Assisted Living/Memory Care Community by interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising the Assisted Living Coordinator, Reflections Coordinator, and MCMs. Manage resident health care, including dissemination of information to families, staff, physicians, and third‑party providers. Perform duties in accordance with established methods and techniques and in conformance with recognized standards. Conduct on‑site assessments of residents admitted to hospitals or skilled nursing facilities and maintain contact with families and discharge planners. Complete pre‑admission assessments for each resident and update every six months or as needed with changes of condition. Initiate resident‑negotiated service plans according to individualized needs as prescribed by physician and/or community policy, and provide instruction to residents and families. Perform ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and psycho‑social needs and coordinate with other departments to assure proactive quality care. Order medications and oversee residents’ medication schedules; audit medication records and carts twice weekly; ensure proper documentation for medication assistance administration. Be on call for staffing, scheduling, and cover the position in emergencies to ensure medication assistance is provided. Ensure all infection control guidelines are met. Maintain knowledge of Assisted Living regulations, medication administration regulations, and occurrence reporting. Qualifications

License/Certification: Current nursing license issued by the appropriate state licensing agency and First Aid certification (LPN or RN). Education: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the elderly in an assisted living, skilled nursing, or hospital environment preferred. Continuing Education: Attend required in‑service education within the community. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of procedures and techniques for administering treatments and providing resident‑care services; understanding of standard personal services; universal precautions; assessment processes; and development/execution of negotiated care plans. Ability to solve problems and handle various situations per MorningStar standards and the Nurse Practice Act. Other: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procurement manuals; good communication skills in English; basic typing skills and computer proficiency.
