Overview
Full-time sales/marketing position with MorningStar Senior Living.
Pay Range: Up to $25.00 per hour plus Bonus Plan. Non-exempt. Schedules available: Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday.

Job Summary The Community Relations Associate communicates with residents, families, internal staff and outside agencies as required; conducts tours; resolves family issues; maintains admission records and documents; and works with referral agencies, organizations and institutions. The role represents MorningStar professionally to achieve move-ins and contribute to occupancy goals. This is a goal‑oriented position that is rewarded with commission incentives.

Position Overview
Conduct tours of the community for potential residents, families, outside visitors, and representatives from placement agencies and organizations.
Attend and participate in in-service educational programs related to the psychosocial needs of the elderly, community resources, and admission requirements.
Learn and practice MorningStar's 7 Steps for Relationship Selling.
Participate in lead management with prompt follow-up to phone calls, emails, and in-person tours; assist in advancing and closing sales.
Conduct a walkthrough of suites to ensure readiness before resident arrival, coordinating with Maintenance and Housekeeping.
Provide consistent new resident welcome and orientation practices (e.g., welcome baskets, Resident Ambassador Introductions).
Communicate necessary information on new residents to all departments.
Schedule move-ins/move-outs details (elevator availability, delivery areas, meal times) to avoid conflicts with activities.
Assist Director of Community Relations in planning and implementing marketing events.
Support resident retention efforts in collaboration with the Director of Community Relations, Wellness Director and Executive Director.
Maintain professional confidentiality.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum high school diploma; two years or more of college preferred.
Job Knowledge: Knowledge of community resources and needs; ability to handle inquiries and relate to prospective residents; awareness of community services and cost structures; ability to handle confidential information and admission records; computer literate and able to learn Resident/Marketing software; ability to drive and conduct tours.
Other: Ability to work well with people including staff, residents and families; personable, friendly, able to work independently; effectively communicate facility services to prospective residents and the community.
