We are hiring a Relationship Manager I, II or III to join our Oregon Lending and Insurance department in Salem, Oregon and support the AgVision program. This full‑time position reports to the SVP, Portfolio Manager and is accountable for supporting the provision of high quality, profitable, and constructive credit and related services to customers.
The base salary range for this position in Salem, Oregon is:
Level I: Typical starting range $66,200 ‑ $88,700; Full base salary range $66,200 ‑ $99,900; Annual performance‑based incentive target 12% of base.
Level II: Typical starting range $72,600 ‑ $99,900; Full base salary range $72,600 ‑ $125,200; Annual performance‑based incentive target 15% of base.
Level III: Typical starting range $89,400 ‑ $124,500; Full base salary range $89,400 ‑ $173,500; Annual performance‑based incentive target 20% of base.
Responsibilities
Market and sell products including loans and related services; establish rapport with customers and prospective customers, building confidence in AgWest.
Conduct visits to customers’ operations and document observations, inspecting collateral and evaluating management practices and repayment expectations.
Make quality credit decisions to ensure customer service, a high‑quality loan portfolio, and proper loan administration.
Monitor loan performance and proactively service and manage assigned accounts to maximize return and efficiency, coordinating with other teams and portfolio groups.
Prepare credit analysis, submit recommendations to supervisor or loan committee for action; approve loans within delegated authority.
Gather financial information through interviews, read audited statements, legal opinions, tax records and other financials, and comply with documentation expectations, procedures, laws and regulations.
Assist in credit investigations, including public record searches, credit bureau reports, employment and income verification, and asset and liability verification.
Participate in loan closings, ensuring all documentation is completed and understood by the customer.
Provide high‑level credit administration, developing and implementing sales/servicing plans and coordinating actions with credit analysts and loan specialists.
Communicate with other groups and teams to facilitate timely transfers between portfolio groups to meet customer service needs and organizational objectives.
Represent and communicate the organization’s values, purpose and mission to employees, customers, the public and other audiences through participation in agricultural, civic and commodity groups and sponsored events.
Maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures and internal controls.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight travel across the AgWest territory.
May be asked to travel for all‑staff or team meetings beyond the standard travel requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read or learn to read audited financial statements, legal opinions, tax records and other financial documents.
Ability to establish rapport and maintain confidence with customers and prospective customers.
Ability to communicate and negotiate terms on behalf of AgWest for low‑complexity and smaller‑size relationships, verbally and in writing.
Ability to travel as required.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
General understanding of credit‑related laws and regulations.
Workplace Flexibility
After an initial in‑office training period, the position is eligible for workplace flexibility and a one‑time home‑office stipend.
