Your Role
You will be a key member of a collaborative and dynamic team with high visibility and exposure to senior management. This role will entail preparing senior management for quarterly earnings calls and conferences, developing key messages for the investor community, preparing regular reports for senior management and performing financial analysis regarding the company and its peers. The ideal candidate will be a highly‑motivated, enthusiastic self‑starter who is attentive to detail and is capable of putting forth high quality work under time constraints.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the preparation of quarterly earnings materials including earnings call scripts, Q&A for senior management, and filings / press releases
Research and develop key topics to prepare senior management for investor conferences and investor meetings
Prepare analyses and materials for quarterly board meetings, as well as drafting regular communications to the board
Prepare regular market analyses including stock price performance and valuation analysis related to the company and its peers
Monitor sell‑side analysts' estimates, reports, price targets, and ratings for the company and key peer companies
Create earnings recap materials for internal company‑wide correspondence
Cover and summarize peer companies' quarterly earnings calls, investor days and presentations at investor conferences
Prepare presentations for debt investors and insurance underwriters
Coordinate conference calls associated with the quarterly earnings release, investor conferences and other publicly released information regarding the company
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
3–5 years previous experience in investment banking, equity research, or management consulting
Highly proficient in financial modeling and valuation analyses
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills that includes in-depth knowledge of accounting and corporate finance
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to distill information into clear messaging
Knowledge of equity markets, derivative instruments and market trading dynamics
Excellent research skills and ability to organize, synthesize and present information
Collaborative team player capable of working across multiple groups / functions within WMG
Willing to be flexible and adaptable, capable of performing tasks in a high intensity work environment and able to deliver high quality work on tight deadlines
Exceptional organizational skills, process‑oriented and attentive to deadlines
Strong familiarity with FactSet, Bloomberg and other financial news platforms/databases
Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Prior experience effectively dealing with sensitive and confidential information and maintaining the strictest confidence
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience working in the media / entertainment / tech industries is a plus
This position requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the office. The salary range is $120,000 to $140,000 annually.
