Job Description The Retail Banker II is a customer liaison that delivers TD’s Brand promise by providing financial expertise and consultative advice. This role contributes to business objectives through solution identification and relationship building.
Depth & Scope
Subject matter expert in personal and business banking products, services, policies, and procedures.
Makes product recommendations based on customer needs.
Builds and nurtures customer relationships, actively listening to identify additional needs.
Uses CRM tools for proactive assessment and outbound sales activities.
Evaluates and resolves issues, errors, and problems independently.
Engages in conversations about loan products and facilitates application intake.
Maintains NMLS registration status.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; 2‑year degree preferred.
2+ years of customer‑facing or sales experience.
Teller experience preferred.
Cross‑trained to take customer transactions upon hire.
Superior customer service, strong organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to provide community services such as financial education classes.
Notary license preferred.
Customer Accountabilities
Delivers legendary experience by building relationships and providing advice.
Provides end‑to‑end advice and proactive insights.
May perform teller transactions and monitor fraud mitigation.
Improves customer financial confidence.
Acts as a brand champion internally and externally.
Shareholder Accountabilities
Ensures compliance with bank regulations and operational policies.
Promotes products and adherence to operating procedures.
Escalates high‑risk transactions and ensures accurate documentation.
Supports operational excellence and risk controls.
Employee/Team Accountabilities
Participates in a positive team environment and promotes service quality.
Enhances knowledge, shares expertise, and collaborates with teammates.
Supports performance development and proactive improvement.
Adheres to TD’s culture and code of conduct.
OCC Language
Position qualifies as Loan Originator under Regulation Z and SAFE Act.
Eligible for NMLS registration as a mortgage loan originator.
Must pass criminal and credit background checks.
