
Distribution Designer III

Overview
This position is looking for a mid-level designer that has had experience working in Texas. Someone who is confident in both underground and overhead design. Works well within a team environment and is able to maintain good quality work. It requires an understanding of the Duke standards and the ability to apply basic electrical application. An understanding of storm hardening and sub-optimization grid work is needed.
Responsibilities
Design electrical jobs that require efficiency and accuracy within an allocated timeframe.
Able to organize work and understand the importance of moving work to a completed state.
To complete work in a timely manner and complete them by the due dates.
Communicate with the customers in a professional and timely manner.
To maintain high quality work within the constraints of a regimented timeframe.
When it is needed the designer will be required to do field work and field meetings depending on the type of work that it is.
Attend meetings that are set either internally or externally.
Qualifications
Needs 1-2 years of experience in Underground design
Needs 2-3 years experience in Overhead design
BOUD experience preferred but not required
Maximo experience preferred but not required
Poleforman experience preferred but not required
SEDS experience preferred but not required
Cable Pulling Assistant (CPA) experience is preferred but not required

Compensation In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
