Position
Mechanical Integrity/Reliability Engineer
Location Valley Green, PA
Responsibilities
Develop new products and processes via mechanical testing and qualification of electrical connectors and components.
Develop test sequences and procedures to determine the long‑term reliability of electrical connectors factoring in customer use and application requirements.
Process and analyze testing results, and create reports and presentations for internal and external customers.
Support the product design effort in mechanical analysis such as tolerance analysis, FEA, materials analysis, failure analysis and creation of test plans.
Prepare test samples and test requests, design and fabricate test fixtures, and interface with test‑lab technicians.
Collaborate with internal and external suppliers and manufacturing personnel to develop and validate product prototypes through pilot production and interface with beta‑site customers.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Mechanical/Materials Science Engineering.
Experience with solid modeling tools (Pro/E and/or SolidWorks).
Experience with data analysis software; MS Excel, Minitab is a plus.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools; ANSYS experience is a plus.
Understanding of how to replicate international standards for testing.
Understanding of electrical systems and electrical connectors.
Ability to perform failure analysis, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA.
Good communication skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Team‑oriented work style.
Desire to create and design new products and processes.
Knowledge of copper alloys and high‑performance engineering thermoplastics is a plus.
