Continuous Improvement Manager
Direct the Quality and Continuous Improvement Process for the GPI facility. Develop, implement, and preserve the validity of the Quality System, allocate capital to equipment and processes that enhance business performance, and identify personnel training needs for new equipment and processes. Aim to improve people, processes, and product quality to increase competitiveness and business growth.
Job Functions
Meet and maintain all divisional Quality Process Management objectives as established by GPI.
Direct the activities, duties, and projects of the QC and Lab Technicians to assure compliance with customer specifications.
Serve as the plant’s contact for customer complaints and compliance audits; maintain reporting systems for internal and external complaints within SAP.
Develop SPC in production and QC areas to maintain process control levels that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Execute and manage CI initiatives including Six Sigma, Process Improvement, and Lean projects; track and report validated savings through the GPI Project Tracking Database.
Communicate plant quality expectations and monitor performance relative to objectives in a timely and effective manner.
Solicit input from employees to accomplish the above actions.
Ensure compliance with all facility product safety (GMP’s)/Sanitation policies and promote orderly work areas per company standards.
Receive SQF and HACCP Lead Practitioner certification and maintain knowledge of SQF prerequisites (SQF, HACCP, GMP, Food Defense, etc.).
Lead and coordinate annual SQF system review, internal audits, and scheduling of third‑party audits.
Coordinate SQF related Root Cause/Corrective Action activities and verify SQF controls on a scheduled basis.
Establish methods for monitoring, sampling, inspection, testing, and analyzing raw materials, in‑process materials, and finished goods.
Update SQF training skill requirements for all onsite personnel.
Develop and maintain SQF‑related documents and records.
Protect and strengthen GPI’s reputation by acting consistently with core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Background / Experience
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Must be a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or attain certification during selection.
Participate in Six Sigma projects as needed.
Demonstrate ability to prioritize, plan, track, execute, and document multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in developing, implementing, and documenting systems for product and process control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MINITAB, SharePoint, spreadsheets, and communication software.
Ability to work independently and independently in an office environment while being exposed to the shop floor daily.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to make reasoned decisions based on knowledge, experience, and limited information.
Leadership skills – motivate people to perform at high levels.
Excellent attendance and ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

Minimum 2‑year degree with 5 years of progressive responsibility.

Schedule Demands
8‑hour Monday‑Friday assignment; willing to work alternate schedules occasionally, including early mornings, nights, weekends.
Occasional overnight travel by flight, car, or rail.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, sit; twist neck and back frequently.
Balance, stoop, bend, squat, climb, twist, handle, reach above shoulder and below shoulder; lift up to 10 lbs occasionally.
Typing and computer skills essential.
Read, write, hear, see, speak, and make independent decisions.
Use hand and electrical tools; work in fluctuating temperatures and loud noise.
Proper PPE required: steel‑toed footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, cut‑resistant gloves, hair net, beard net.
Pay Range $127,300.00 – $169,700.00
