
Salesforce Platform Product Manager

Job Summary
The Salesforce Platform Product Manager is responsible for ownership and delivery of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Commerce Cloud capabilities. This role combines product management, business analysis, delivery leadership, and operational governance to ensure the platform delivers measurable business value and high-quality user experience.
The position defines the platform roadmap, leads business requirement intake, translates needs into scalable solutions, and drives execution through internal teams and external partners. In addition, the role oversees platform stability, service performance, and continuous optimization across the Salesforce ecosystem.
This role operates at the intersection of business and technology and requires strong cross‑functional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive outcomes without direct authority.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Define and maintain the Salesforce platform vision, roadmap, and success metrics aligned to business objectives
Translate business priorities into a structured, value‑driven product backlog
Lead requirements gathering workshops with business stakeholders across sales, commercial, operations, and support functions
Develop user stories, workflows, process maps, and acceptance criteria aligned to business outcomes
Serve as Product Owner within Agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and release governance
Drive end‑to‑end delivery execution from requirements through design, build, testing, and deployment
Identify and proactively resolve delivery risks, cross‑functional dependencies, and bottlenecks
Manage System Integrators and external vendors delivering Salesforce capabilities
Hold vendors accountable for scope, timelines, quality, and contractual deliverables
Oversee platform operations, including incidents, service requests, SLA performance, and defect resolution
Establish governance processes for prioritization, release management, and technical debt management
Partner with business leaders to drive platform adoption, value realization, and continuous improvement
Communicate roadmap priorities, delivery status, and business outcomes to leadership teams

Deep functional knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Commerce Cloud
Strong product ownership and roadmap development capabilities
Agile / Scrum delivery leadership and backlog management
Business requirements elicitation and workshop facilitation
Process mapping and user story development
Vendor and System Integrator management
Understanding of APIs, data flows, and cross‑system integrations
Strong stakeholder communication across business and technical teams
Ability to influence and lead without direct authority
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to balance short‑term business needs with long‑term platform sustainability
Experience driving adoption, KPI tracking, and measurable business outcomes
Education / Experience Requirements
Typically requires bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field
8+ years of experience in enterprise systems, CRM platforms, e‑commerce or digital product delivery
4+ years of experience in Salesforce platform ownership, product management, or delivery leadership
Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
Proven experience managing external vendors and System Integrators
Preferred: Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related credentials
Travel Requirements 10–15%
