
Junior Tax Analyst

Our client is seeking a Tax Analyst to join its Tax Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting or Finance graduate, or someone completing their degree within the next 12 months, to gain hands‑on experience within a large, professional banking environment. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and financial documentation. The team is looking for someone eager to learn, contribute, and support a variety of tax‑related processes and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of various U.S. tax workpapers
Support the team in preparing deferred tax workpapers
Assist with tax provision‑related work, including:
tax provision calculations
valuation allowance analysis
tax account reconciliations
Help prepare workpapers related to state tax jurisdictions and effective tax rate analysis
Prepare and organize SOX documentation/binders
Support managers and team members with ad hoc tax and reporting requests
Handle various administrative and departmental support tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or currently pursuing one with expected completion within the next 12 months
Strong academic background; solid cumulative GPA preferred
Internship, coursework, or prior exposure to tax, accounting, or financial reporting is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
