Global Trade Operations Manager

Job Summary & Responsibilities You will lead the end-to-end trade operations strategy & execution for global movements of semiconductor capital equipment and high-volume spare parts.

This role focuses on duty mitigation strategies and the execution of those strategies, global Customs Broker management and performance measurement. Also included in this role is the management of specialized trade programs like US Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ) and Duty Drawback to drive fiscal efficiency and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

The compliant and on-time execution of all logistics activities , ensuring we ship accurately and compliantly to all government, trade, regulatory provisions related to the shipment of parts in the Semi-Conductor industry

Trade Classification & Licensing adherence: Ensure shipping / import/ export documentation meets the technical classification of equipment and spares under HTS and ECCN. Ensure, in conjunction with Trade Compliance, the management of complex export license requirements and entity list regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR) for restricted technologies.

Duty Mitigation & Drawback: Architect and oversee Duty Drawback programs to maximize the amount of reclaimed of duties on re-exported spares and manufactured tools from imported parts. Identify and implement duty-saving opportunities through FTAs and FTZ operations.

FTZ Management: Lead potential US FTZ operations, ensuring meticulous record-keeping, inventory reconciliation, and compliance with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements.

Broker & Vendor Oversight: Act as the primary lead for Customs Broker Management, establishing SOPs and auditing broker performance to minimize clearance delays and entry errors.

Ensure proper Export compliance documentation is filed (AES) as required, track performance

Operational Audit: Conduct internal audits , in conjunction with Trade Compliance of import/export records and systems to ensure continuous "audit readiness" for government assessments.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, or Supply Chain.

Experience: 7–10+ years in trade compliance within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry.

Certification: Licensed US Customs Broker (LCB) or equivalent national certification is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

Expertise in US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and global customs laws.

Hands-on experience with Duty Drawback and FTZ software modules.

Proficiency in Trade Management Systems.

Advanced data analytics skills for duty spend and saving reporting.

Compensation & Growth • Base Salary Range:

$112,000.00 - $168,000.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
