Member Service Representative Position Our Member Service Representatives provide exceptional customer service to our members. This is a universal role in our branches, supporting members from start to finish. Representatives promote financial products and services to enhance members 0well-being, building rapport and listening carefully to recommend the best financial solutions to meet member needs. They are the face of the credit union and contribute to a positive member experience.
Responsibilities
Process teller transactions and handle cash accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
Open and close accounts and update member information.
Conduct loan application interviews and process loan applications, fund loans, and present loan disclosures.
Step into the teller line as needed to process banking transactions efficiently.
Achieve individual and team sales goals and stay up-to-date on credit union products and services.
Promote credit union products and services to members in a way that meets their needs.
Maintain a high level of member service and professional conduct, reflecting the credit union philosophy of "people helping people".
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of current financial institution experience as Teller or Member Service Representative OR two years of current sales, retail, or customer service experience with cash handling responsibilities
Intermediate-level proficiency with computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to offer solutions that meet our members' needs
Flexibility to travel to other branches on occasion
Working knowledge of Symitar (Episys) preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
