
Designer III

Perkins Eastman has an exciting opportunity in our 50-person Boston office. We seek a highly motivated Designer with a combination of design and technical talent to collaboratively advance designs from pre-schematic through occupancy. The individual will bring an affinity for developing options and resolving solutions for consideration by teammates and clients. This position requires the candidates to support project team leaders and produce presentations suitable for the Perkins Eastman team and clients.
Responsibilities
Work directly with Boston based teams focusing on existing buildings across all building typologies. Engage with clients and consultants as an active member of the team during meetings and presentations. Work with teams to develop detailed sets of drawings. Research existing buildings through review of historic documentation, public records and site evolution through imagery. Confirm existing building information by performing site and building investigations and detailed building crawls. Required Qualifications
3-8 years of experience related to existing building renewal and revitalization. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture Experience on project teams focused on existing buildings to program, conceptualize, and document projects. Excellent writing, speaking, and public presentation skills. Exceptional skills in Revit, AutoCAD and visualization software LEED Accreditation preferred. Individual who has passed the ARE, or plans to complete in the near term. A commitment to the principles of sustainable design inclusive of Net Zero Carbon and Net Zero Energy and experience or interest integrating them on specific projects.
