
Sales Engineer

Location
Remote role based out of Dallas, Houston, or Austin, TX, with 50% travel required.
SCOPE OF ROLE The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving rapid growth by achieving aggressive sales targets throughout the Texas region. This role involves identifying, securing, and growing new customers within the territory, understanding customer needs, presenting suitable products, developing new products, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate has a builder mindset and is eager to demonstrate their ability to build and grow a territory above market levels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory, understand market trends and customer needs to effectively position our products, and drive innovation by pinpointing product gaps and championing new product development projects.
Customer Success:
Act as a trusted advisor to solve problems, remove barriers, and provide exceptional value ensuring customer needs are met, fostering satisfaction and loyalty.
Product Presentation:
Present and explain our product features and benefits to customers, using technical knowledge to demonstrate how our products meet their needs.
Channel Alignment:
Engage with national and local channel partners to leverage exposure and resources to earn share in the market.
Collaboration:
Team with inside sales, product management, and other departments to develop winning sales strategies, improve product offerings, and deliver above quota growth.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field (required)
0–5 years of sales or customer‑facing experience (internship experience welcome)
Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives
Working understanding of industry standards and regulations, including UL, IEEE, NEC, and IEC
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
In‑depth knowledge of customer and market dynamics
Exceptional prospecting, qualifying, and closing ability
Willingness to travel as required
This individual must live in Texas (preference to Austin, Dallas, or Houston)
This role is remote but requires extensive travel (50%) within the assigned territory
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship for U.S. work authorization
Salary Range The total
on-target earnings (OTE)
for this position range from $80,000 to $130,000 per year, which includes base salary and performance‑based incentives. The actual compensation package depends on experience, qualifications, and achievement of performance goals.
