Overview
Position: Personal Banker Department: Retail Location: Hugoton, KS Salary: FT Hourly Summary: Equity Bank is seeking energetic, team‑oriented, and community‑minded individuals to join our team. The role focuses on building and expanding client relationships, delivering banking products and services to meet clients' financial needs, and creating a superior client experience while upholding company values. Responsibilities And Expectations
Build client relationships and conduct professional client conversations that build and sustain trust and credibility. Discover key life events with clients to ensure bank products and services meet financial needs. Recommend and provide accounts, loans, and services that match clients’ financial needs. Promote bank products and services within and outside the bank. Proactively refer to bank partners to generate additional revenue. Demonstrate operational soundness to minimize risk exposure and maintain quality production. Adhere to operating procedures and protocols. Deliver a consistently superior client experience; create a welcoming, engaging, and professional environment for clients. Proactively resolve client issues in the absence of or as directed by the Bank Manager. Respond to routine client inquiries and requests. Perform teller duties as needed and process client transactions. Approve transactions for other employees within your assigned authority limit. Assist with bank opening and/or closing as directed. Demonstrate compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to Ethics and Conduct, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, Information Security, and Suspicious Activity Reporting. Follow deposit account opening procedures and internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes. Actively work with clients to understand each client’s normal account activity where appropriate. Complete periodic compliance training. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Required Skills & Education
High School Diploma or equivalent Previous banking experience preferred Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Computer proficiency in Windows‑based systems Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Team oriented with the ability to collaborate on solutions English and Spanish preferred, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages Ability to travel to Wichita, KS during first week of employment for required week‑long training Who We Are
