Assistant Superintendent (Multifamily Construction)
to join their team onsite in Palmdale, CA. This role supports a Lead Superintendent on an active project, playing a key part in keeping the job on track, maintaining quality, and ensuring a safe, efficient jobsite. It is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field and wants long-term growth with a steady project pipeline.
What You'll Do as the Assistant Superintendent (Multifamily Construction):
Support daily field operations alongside the Lead Superintendent
Coordinate subcontractors and ensure alignment with schedule and milestones
Help maintain jobsite organization, workflow, and productivity
Assist with sequencing of trades, deliveries, and inspections
Identify and escalate potential delays or field issues early
Conduct site walks to verify work meets plans, specs, and code requirements
Assist with punch list tracking and project closeout activities
Enforce safety standards and support OSHA compliance efforts
Participate in jobsite safety meetings and monitor subcontractor adherence
Track daily manpower and maintain jobsite logistics and cleanliness
Provide regular updates on field progress and issues to project leadership
Must-Haves as the Assistant Superintendent (Multifamily Construction):
5+ years of construction experience with exposure to multifamily projects
Experience supporting ground-up construction projects
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination
Ability to proactively identify issues and communicate effectively
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Haves as the Assistant Superintendent (Multifamily Construction):
Experience with garden-style or podium multifamily construction
Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software
Experience working on projects in Southern California
Background working with high-performing field teams
