
Integrated Circuit Layout Engineer

Job Description:
Senseeker is seeking an integrated circuit (IC) layout engineer to join our IC team and perform 65 nm to 180 nm CMOS mixed-signal layout for our readout integrated circuits (ROICs). Responsibilities include chip floor planning, collaborating closely with design engineers to provide critical feedback on circuit designs and power distribution schemes, and understanding the layout requirements of each block. You will also contribute to improving our EDA tool flow and overall efficiency. The role requires taking ownership of large, complex, arrayed layouts and performing layout, verification, and extraction for high-density memory, pixel arrays, converters, support circuitry, and I/O pad rings. You should be comfortable working in a relaxed small-business environment and be able to independently drive tasks to completion.
Required Education & Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering with an emphasis on IC layout and a minimum of two years of work experience.

CMOS integrated circuit layout and verification experience
Knowledge of high-density arrayed low-noise analog layout techniques
Knowledge of high-speed mixed-signal layout techniques
Proficient in LVS and DRC verification and parasitic extraction
Excellent teamwork skills, good written and verbal communication and a self-driven approach to work
Previous tapeout experience is a
must
Desired Attributes:
Practical layout experience with digital converters (ADCs/DACs), PLL/DLL, SerDes, image sensors and digital readout ICs
Proficient at advanced layout techniques including high frequency routing
Comfortable with multiple CAD tools and foundry PDKs
Experience with digital place & route tools
Experience with Siemens EDA flow (Tanner/Symphony/Calibre) is a
plus
Job Type and Location: Full-time in Santa Barbara, CA, USA
Salary Range: $100,000 to $140,000 annually depending on education and experience
