A world leader in engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services offering a full spectrum of maintenance solutions, ranging from targeted hospital visits to complete engine overhauls, supporting more than 30 commercial engine platforms.

This MRO is currently seeking a Proposal Manager to join its dynamic and international team. In this role, you will play a central part in managing and coordinating bid and campaign activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and strengthening the company’s competitive position. Working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, you will contribute to high-impact projects that support business growth and customer success.

This role ensures the proposal is commercially attractive while still protecting the MRO’s margins, balancing competitiveness with profitability, negotiating terms with customers, and aligning internally on what the business can realistically deliver.

Beyond pricing, a proposal manager will shape the overall deal structure, which can include long-term service agreements, power-by-the-hour contracts, or bundled support packages. They track market trends, competitor positioning, and historical data to improve win rates and refine future bids.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and prepare detailed engine MRO service proposals tailored to complex customer requirements, including full cost analysis and pricing

Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Account Management to define and execute effective commercial strategies

Lead and coordinate strategic sales campaigns across multiple markets, aligning bidding teams, internal processes, and customer expectations

Gather and consolidate input from technical and operational departments to support bid development

Conduct risk and opportunity assessments in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Support sales teams during contract negotiations and customer engagements, including participation in client meetings when required

Drive cross-departmental collaboration to strengthen commercial capabilities and deliver strategic sales initiatives

Continuously improve and optimize bidding tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and competitiveness

Required Skills and Abilities:

Degree in economics, business informatics, industrial engineering, or a related field

Several years of experience in aviation or a similar industry, ideally in a commercial or sales-focused role

Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex information into clear insights

Willingness to travel and interest in working in international, multicultural environments

Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage

Strong IT proficiency, particularly in MS Office, databases, and digital tools
