
Business Development Representative

JOB SUMMARY
Engage with prospective clients to explain The Chamberlin Group’s (Chamberlin) holistic planning process, answer questions about Chamberlin’s services and determine whether the prospective client’s needs are a good fit for Chamberlin’s holistic financial planning process. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm client appointments for Lead Planners.
RESPONSIBILITIES Prospective Client Fit Calls
Complete inbound and outbound calls with prospective clients who have expressed interest in learning more about Chamberlin through various marketing initiatives.
Explain and position the unique value proposition of Chamberlin’s holistic financial planning process.
Answer prospective clients’ questions, provide educational resources, and facilitate informational requests.
Build rapport with prospective clients through consistent and caring communication.
Convert qualified prospective clients into scheduled meetings with Lead Planners.
Administration
Enter, update, and maintain prospective client information in Chamberlin’s CRM system.
Route qualified prospective clients to Lead Planners' schedules.
Make phone calls to follow up with no-show appointments.
Monitor chat boxes, social media feeds, and messaging for potential leads.
Collect Marketing Intelligence from prospective clients.
Attend monthly retirement dinner seminars or educational classes, and engage with attendees, schedule prospecting calls, and help administer the event.
Reporting and Team Collaboration
Identify, learn, implement, and test new improvements to our processes and scripts to reach weekly goals.
Collaborate with Chamberlin’s marketing team to evaluate new and existing processes and report trends.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Experience:
Customer service, inside sales, or outside sales experience is preferred. Financial Services experience is preferred.
SKILLS
Ability to build a strong rapport with our prospective clients.
Exceptional interpersonal, client service, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, HubSpot, Zocks.
Superior organizational and follow-through skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
FLSA EXEMPT STATUS Exempt
Full-Time 40 hours/week
Evening work is required: minimum 2 evenings (8 hours) per month
