Job Description
As a Document Specialist with BW Converting, you will play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly by collecting, maintaining, and distributing accurate manufacturing documentation across teams.
You’ll work with engineering‑created documents, including drawings, prints, job books, and machining packets ensuring they are complete, properly stored, and distributed throughout the organization. This role is ideal for someone who is organized and dependable, with an interest in working alongside engineering and production teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
Collect, maintain, and organize technical documentation in accordance with company standards and policies
Verify accuracy and completeness of documents before distribution and storage
Print and distribute engineering documents, drawings, and prints to the appropriate teams throughout the facility
Assist with preparing job books, machining packets, and assembly routing documents for production teams
Retrieve and compile data from ERP system to produce printed document packets for machining and assembly distribution
Resolve file discrepancies and ensure document records are up to date and properly maintained
Finalize and store documentation for both internal departments and external customers
Support the operations team with day‑to‑day physical document needs including machine records and manufacturing order packets
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
0‑2+ years of administrative experience
Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills required
Attention to detail
Mechanical background a plus
Experience in Adobe a plus
ERP experience a plus
