Continuous Improvement Manager
Perceptive Recruiting, LLC, Jackson, TN, United States
Continuous Improvement Manager
role open with a stable, privately held manufacturer in Brownsville, TN. In this role, you'll lead the buildout and implementation of a lean program starting at one of the company's largest and most complex facilities, with responsibility expanding to additional sites over time. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on lean practitioner who has implemented lean principles inside a plant, thrives with autonomy, and wants the creative freedom to build a system that is tailored to the business rather than pulled off the shelf.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in manufacturing in a lean or continuous improvement role
Must have direct, hands‑on experience implementing lean inside a plant environment
Six Sigma Green Belt minimum; lean certification (Bronze or Silver) preferred
Comfortable working independently — this role operates with a high degree of autonomy and no on‑site direct reports
Strong facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills
Multi‑site or program‑level CI experience a plus
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; other backgrounds considered
Ability to travel up to 40%
Role
Implement and establish lean foundations at the Tennessee facility before expanding the program across North American plants
Lead hands‑on process improvement initiatives on the production floor — kaizen events, waste identification, and workflow optimization
Develop a customized lean approach that fits the operation, using tools and methodologies you know work
Evaluate and incorporate new CI technologies and tools as the program evolves
Track and report lean maturity KPIs by site, including productivity improvements and cost reduction
Build training programs and coach plant supervisors and operations leaders in lean principles and CI techniques
Lead the North American Lean Steering Council as the program scales across facilities
