Commercial Relationship Manager
The Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM) is responsible for developing, managing, and growing a portfolio of commercial banking relationships. This role serves as the primary point of contact for commercial clients and delivers lending, deposit, treasury management and other financial solutions. The CRM balances business development with disciplined credit risk management while providing best‑in‑class customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Identifies and maintains profitable commercial relationships.
Pursues new commercial banking relationships through prospecting, referrals, and networking.
Develops and maintains strong, long‑term relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for new and existing customers.
Delivers responsive, professional services and coordinates internal resources to meet customer needs.
Structures comprehensive banking solutions that include credit, deposits, treasury management, and other products.
Presents loan requests for approval to the Executive Loan Committee and Board Loan Committee.
Monitors loan portfolio performance, proactively identifying and addressing emerging credit concerns.
Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Works closely with credit, treasury management, operations, and other internal partners to deliver integrated solutions.
Responsible for ensuring that renewals of credit and past dues are handled in a timely manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field preferred; equivalent banking industry experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years of commercial banking experience.
Experience managing commercial relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting skills.
Proven relationship management and business development abilities.
Solid understanding of commercial lending products.
In‑depth understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
Ability to balance growth objectives with sound risk management.
Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
