Summary of Responsibilities The
Senior Marketing Channel Strategist
will lead the planning and execution of omnichannel digital campaigns for premier and core events and other key AAFP initiatives. The role has a foundation in marketing strategy, digital channel execution and campaign performance. The role will develop strategies for paid media and email and collaborate with social strategy, content strategy, public relations and other channels to ensure cohesive channel marketing plans for events. Serves as primary liaison across channel, premier & core events, and membership marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging, targeting and delivery. Responsible for analysis of performance, reporting and real-time adjustments to strategy based on performance.
Key Initiatives
Lead the design, execution and optimization of all email campaigns in HubSpot, including drip campaigns, automated workflows, customer journeys, transactional and ad hoc sends—aligned to the user lifecycle and event goals.
Develop and refine audience segmentation, A/B testing strategies, and performance analytics to improve engagement, ensure deliverability and compliance, and drive higher conversion and retention across all email marketing efforts.
Collaborate with the paid media team and/or vendor to plan, execute and optimize multi-channel digital advertising campaigns (search, display, social, etc.) that support event goals and align with audience behaviors and funnel stages.
Analyze campaign performance and surface insights to guide real-time adjustments and future campaign planning. Regularly report on campaign metrics and insights to stakeholders.
Contribute to the success of key AAFP initiatives by collaborating with internal business partners to develop and execute channel strategies integrated with broader marketing communication plans.
Design, build, test and deploy paid media campaigns, emails and other marketing channels with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to support key AAFP initiatives and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements Requires a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related area (or through equivalent work experience), plus a minimum of six years related work experience.
Required skills for success include:
Highly proficient with HubSpot or digital marketing automation tools.
Knowledge of and experience with paid media.
Understanding of how marketing channels work together to achieve results.
Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into data-driven channel strategies that drive measurable impact on growth and revenue.
Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across functions.
HubSpot certification (preferred).
