I'm hiring a highly skilled, detail oriented marketing professional to support an award-winning engineering consultancy in Norfolk, VA!

The role will focus on collaborating with the wider MEP leadership team, and coordinating the execution of all marketing and business development initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include developing sales and marketing materials associates with AEC project pursuits including:

RFP responses

Interview presentations

Developing project information pages for website use

Coordinating events

Creating advertising

Responsibilities

Drive strategic marketing and business development initiatives in partnership with leadership

Lead proposal and pursuit efforts, including strategy, teaming, and client presentations

Conduct client debriefs to strengthen future marketing and business development outcomes

Identify and secure teaming opportunities with Market Sector leaders

Train technical staff in proposal writing and presentations

Manage marketing resources, including content, opportunity tracking, and the Deltek database

Oversee branding, marketing materials, and social media presence

Represent the firm in industry and community organizations to build relationships

Plan and execute internal events to enhance employee engagement

Monitor procurement pipelines and oversee Go/No-Go decision-making processes

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred; 8+ years of A/E/C marketing and proposal experience

Proven expertise in proposal development (SOQs, digital and print production), go
o-go processes, and business development support

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and Deltek or similar CRM systems

Strong writing, editing, and graphic design/layout skills with a solid visual sense

Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and meeting facilitation skills, with the ability to lead marketing efforts

Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Cosential/Unanet) and willingness to travel occasionally

Salary range: $110-125,000 per year depending on experience
