high-impact Fleet & Asset Leader
to architect, optimize, and scale a multi-location fleet operation that directly drives revenue, efficiency, and growth.
This is a
leadership role , not a maintenance function.
You will own the full lifecycle of fleet strategy—from procurement and vendor negotiations to performance optimization, compliance, and technology integration.

What You’ll Own Strategic Fleet Leadership
Define and execute a company-wide fleet strategy across rental and non-rental assets
Align fleet decisions with growth, margin, and operational goals
Serve as the subject matter expert and internal advisor to leadership
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead and scale a specialized team:
Procurement & Logistics
Compliance & Technology
Establish a culture of accountability, performance, and ownership
Build repeatable processes that scale across all locations
Procurement, Negotiation & Vendor Strategy
Lead high-value negotiations with OEMs, dealers, and national vendors
Develop long-term supplier strategies that drive cost savings and reliability
Evaluate and onboard strategic partners and leasing providers
Fleet Optimization (Revenue + Internal)
Maximize utilization and yield of rental fleet assets
Optimize internal vehicle allocation and lifecycle planning
Balance availability, cost, and performance across all markets
KPI Ownership & Financial Performance
Own and report on key metrics:
Utilization & downtime
Cost per unit (hour/mile)Asset ROI
Total cost of ownership
Translate data into clear operational and financial improvements
Lifecycle & Standardization
Design and implement fleet standardization across all locations
Build lifecycle strategies (replacement, rotation, resale, disposal)
Drive consistency in specs, branding, and configurations
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance across:
DOT regulations
Multi-state registrations and titling
Leasing agreements and asset tracking
Partner cross-functionally to mitigate operational and regulatory risk
Technology & Telematics
Own telematics/GPS strategy and execution
Leverage data to improve:
Utilization
Routing
Cost control
Identify and implement technology that scales the business
What You Bring
7-10+ years of progressive experience in fleet, asset, or equipment management
Proven leadership experience building and managing high-performing teams
Strong track record of vendor negotiation and cost reduction
Experience managing complex, multi-location fleet operations
Deep understanding of:
Leasing structures and financing strategies
DOT compliance and regulatory environments
Telematics and fleet technology systems
Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into business outcomes
Builder mindset—you don't just manage systems, you create and improve them

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 per year
