About The Team
At GOAT Group, our Authentication Operations team is essential in educating, training and supporting the Authenticators in physical and digital operations. With the partnership of the operations and retail leaders they focus on ensuring we are creating the best‑in‑class authenticators by providing them the tools and training they need to verify every product is accurate and authentic.
Role Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented and passionate Authentication Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles. In this role, you will build expertise in authenticating footwear, apparel and collectibles and help create high‑quality training resources for our global team. The goal is to maintain trust in our marketplace and support new product launches. This is an on‑site position requiring strong critical thinking and a commitment to continuous learning.

Authentication Expertise & Training
Build and maintain expertise in Footwear Authentication across multiple brands
Build and maintain expertise in Authentication related to other product types as needed
Assist with the training of authentication team members
Content Creation & Training Development
Assist content creation by capturing and organizing product photos
Perform product research and draft research summaries
Perform other research and training duties as assigned
Operations & On‑Site Authentication
Assist on‑site authentication operations at the Expo2 facility, working on‑site 5 days per week
Efficiently authenticate products in person and digitally (via Slack or remote systems)
Quickly learn and adapt to new or recently released products as needed
Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience in product authentication
High level of knowledge and genuine interest in footwear, apparel, and collectibles
Excellent critical thinking, decision‑making, and attention to detail
Strong organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to continuously learn and upskill
On‑site role in Los Angeles with up to 50% travel required
Honest and authentic approach to work
Data literacy
Experience creating training materials is preferred
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is preferred
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Drive) is preferred
Knowledge of the current authentication and operations landscape is preferred
Compensation $27.23—$27.23 USD per hour (plus benefits)
